New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is active for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, days after he was arrested in Kenner for allegedly pushing a contractor near his home.
Thomas was charged on Friday with simple battery and one count of criminal mischief, both misdemeanors. The wide receiver was accused of pushing a contractor near his home and throwing a brick at the man’s truck, which police said left “little if any damage.” Thomas’ arrest was not expected to impact his availability against the Vikings and the 30-year-old traveled with the team on Saturday to Minnesota.
Thomas, who has not missed a game this year after being sidelined in recent injury-plagued seasons, has 38 catches for 439 yards and one touchdown in nine games in 2023.
With Thomas in, here’s who was listed as inactive for the Saints:
- Defensive end Isaiah Foskey (quad)
- Running back Kendre Miller (ankle)
- Guard Nick Saldiveri
- Quarterback Jake Haener
- Tight end Jimmy Graham
Though the Saints will be without two rookies in Foskey and Miller, they will be getting back another starter: Fullback Adam Prentice was activated Saturday off injured reserve. Prentice missed a month with an MCL injury.
