South Florida right-handed pitcher Chandler Dorsey is transferring to LSU, he announced on Instagram on Monday.

Dorsey posted a 3.60 ERA in 30?innings as a sophomore this season for the Bulls. He had a 7.40 ERA in 22 appearances as a freshman.

At 6-foot-4 and 222 pounds, Dorsey was the No. 28 right-handed pitcher out of Florida from the Class of 2022, according to Perfect Game. He attended George Jenkins High in Lakeland, Florida.

Dorsey is the first non-junior college transfer to come to Baton Rouge ahead of the 2025 season. Prior to the transfer portal opening, LSU had added commitments from five junior college players, including left-handed pitcher Conner Ware.

The Tigers have lost four pitchers to the transfer portal already in left-handers Nic Bronzini and Cam Johnson, and right-handers Micah Bucknam and Aiden Moffett.

A season ago, LSU added seven players out of the transfer portal, including junior college right-hander Fidel Ulloa.
