The LSU women’s basketball team picked up its first commitment of its 2025 recruiting class Tuesday.

Bella Hines, a 5-foot-9 point guard from New Mexico, announced her intentions to sign with the Tigers on Instagram.?Hines is ESPN’s 31st-ranked prospect in the 2025 class.

She visited LSU for its March 24 win over Middle Tennessee in the NCAA Tournament Round of 32.

The Tigers have only one player signed to their 2024 recruits class: Jada Richard, the star point guard from Lafayette Christian Academy.

From this year’s team, LSU could return all but two players. Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith must decide by Wednesday if they want to declare for the WNBA Draft or stay an extra year in college.
