Homicide detectives with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's office are investigating the death of man shot in Marrero this weekend.?

Authorities have not yet identified the victim.?

The shooting was reported about 6 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of Mt. Kennedy Drive, according to Sgt. Brandon Veal, sheriff's spokesperson.

Deputies dispatched to the area found the man on the ground with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Veal said.?

Investigators did not have any information about a suspect or a motive for the killing.?
