The Louisiana Travel Association has named the 2024 class of the Louisiana Tourism Leadership Academy.

The goal of the organization is to further educate those within the tourism industry by developing their leadership skills, strengthening their communication networks and informing them about the responsibilities of leadership in building and enriching their tourism-related organizations.

Disability Rights Louisiana has added two members to its board of directors.

Jakeel D. Abdullah,?of New Orleans, is a self advocate.

Leslie Durham, of St. Joseph, is the mother of an adult child with disabilities. She is the executive director for Louisiana Infrastructure Technical Assistance Corp., a nonprofit created to assist rural local governments.
