The 2024 French Quarter Festival will be even bigger than the previous 40 editions of free springtime celebration of New Orleans music, food and culture.?
For the 41st French Quarter Fest, which is slated for April 11-14, producers have added a deejay stage along the Mississippi riverfront at the foot of Canal Street.
Also new to the riverfront area is the Culinary Stage presented by Kingfish Kitchen & Cocktails. Chef Kevin Belton will preside over daily cooking demonstrations and interviews. The festival will have a total of 21 stages in 2024.
Already bursting at the seams despite a site that stretches from Esplanade Avenue to Woldenberg Riverfront Park, the festival will expand this year to Spanish Plaza.
The WWL Louisiana Media Stage will move from the New Orleans Jazz Museum to Spanish Plaza.
The Jack Daniels Stage, previously located on the riverfront, will also move to Spanish Plaza. Acts scheduled for that stage include local R&B band Water Seed's "Journey to Funkstar" performance with a special light show, as well as hip-hop legends Partners-N-Crime and the festival debut of Teedra Moses.?
Other artists making their French Quarter Festival debuts in 2024 include Ivan Neville, the Original Pinettes with Mia X, People Museum and the TBC Brass Band with HaSizzle. In total, approximately 40 of the 270-plus performers are first-timers at the festival.?
Additionally, the French Quarter Festival has new VIP packages, including a front-of-stage viewing option.?
