Four-star cornerback Jaboree Antoine has committed to LSU football, he announced on social media Saturday.

Antoine is the No. 53 player and No. 8 cornerback in the nation in the Class of 2025, according to the 247Sports composite. He attends Westgate in New Iberia and is the No. 2 player in the state of Louisiana.

Antoine chose LSU over Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Texas A&M, Syracuse and Tennessee.

He is the fourth top-55 prospect in the nation to commit to LSU from this cycle, joining five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore and five-star running back Harlem Berry.

Underwood is the No. 1 overall player in the 2025 class. Moore is the No. 1 wideout and Berry is the No. 1 running back and prospect in Louisiana.

Antoine's pledge gives LSU commitment from three of the top five players in Louisiana's 2025 class, joining Berry and four-star linebacker Keylan Moses.

LSU had the No. 2 recruiting class in the country prior to Antoine's commitment.

His commitment comes shortly after LSU brought back New Iberia native Corey Raymond as its defensive backs coach on Jan. 18. Raymond was an assistant strength and conditioning coach from 2006-08 before returning to LSU as a defensive backs coach from 2012-21.

He left LSU to become the assistant head coach and cornerbacks coach at Florida after the 2021 season.

Raymond was instrumental in the recruitment and development of Derek Stingley Jr., Jamal Adams and Tre'Davious White at LSU, continuing the program's tradition of "DBU."

He returned to LSU this offseason after the Tigers parted ways with most of its defensive staff, including cornerbacks coach Robert Steeples, on Jan. 3.

Antoine fills a critical area of need for the Tigers. LSU's defense struggled in 2023, particularly in the secondary. Injuries and absences left its cornerbacks room young and depleted of depth.?

The Tigers defense surrendered 28 points per game and finished 102nd in the nation in defense, according to ESPN's College Football Power Index. In its three losses this past season, LSU allowed 45 (Florida State), 55 (Ole Miss) and 42 points (Alabama).
