The brotherly trash talk between Equanimeous and Amon-Ra St. Brown on their St. Brown Podcast in July raised some eyebrows — and drew some Twitter replies from members of the New Orleans Saints.?

In that episode, Amon-Ra, who stars for the Detroit Lions, looked at Equanimeous, in his first season with the New Orleans Saints, and said, “Nobody in your f*****g room thinks they can win a Super Bowl.”

Equanimeous pushed back on it, and this week, his teammate Cam Jordan had a chance to do the same.

Jordan appeared on the St. Brown brothers’ podcast this week, and Amon-Ra started the interview with that question: “Do you genuinely believe in that locker room that you guys can win a Super Bowl?”

“Bro, the blood that I bleed? Black and Gold? I’m so bought in that I promise you if we get a chance to the playoffs we can win a Super Bowl,” Jordan said.

Jordan went on to say that, even on some of the best teams he’s been on, he hasn’t had a true sense of what the team was truly capable of until later in the season — and while doing so, he referenced the fact that Amon-Ra’s Lions have only been to the playoffs once in his time there.

“That season doesn’t come easy,” Jordan said. “It’s not just going to be, ooh, I believe, and we’re going to make it. It’s hey, I believe, and we’ve got to go earn it.”

Jordan and the Saints will get their first opportunity to prove their doubters wrong when they open the season Sunday against Carolina.
