Dejounte Murray was one game into his New Orleans Pelicans tenure when the injury bug bit him.

In the third quarter of the Pelicans’ Oct. 23 season opener against the Chicago Bulls, Murray felt pain in his left hand. He told teammate Herb Jones something was wrong. X-rays confirmed a fracture.

More than one month later, Murray made his return to the court. He looked rusty after missing the past 17 games. He missed his first seven shots from the field.
