Photos: Hurricane Katrina remembered with healing, march, rally
People gather for the 19th annual community commemoration of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024. The Katrina Commemoration Foundation and the Hip Hop Caucus hosted the event, which featured a healing ceremony at the location of the Industrial Canal floodwall failure in the Lower Ninth Ward during Katrina; and a march to Hunter's Field for a rally featuring speakers and performances by hip-hop artists.
