After joining the crowds of celebrities who attended Taylor Swift's Eras Tour stops in New Orleans, Ryan Reynolds has taken to social media to applaud Swift, his close friend, and to celebrate his love for the Crescent City.?

"It's a special place on a normal day – but this weekend, felt like Super Bowl or Mardi Gras had a baby with music," the celebrated actor said in an Instagram post.?

Reynolds is known for his acting in "The Proposal" and "Deadpool & Wolverine." Over the course of his decades-long career, Reynolds has shot several movies in New Orleans, including?"Self/less" and "Mississippi Grind."

The Canadian actor went on to praise Swift for the "unimaginable work, care, talent and discipline" she put in to creating such a unique experience. He also highlighted the economic boost Swift's arrival brought to the city, noting the "positive economic impact this tour has on small businesses all over NOLA — a town that’s been thru so much for so long."?

His wife, fellow actress Blake Lively, also attended the Superdome performance with their daughter, James, who was seen singing along to the popstar's songs. Swift is the godmother of James along with Reynolds and Lively's three other kids.?

With six slides of pictures and videos, Reynolds recapped his New Orleans visit, posing in front of Alligator Eyes, a party shop on Magazine Street, and celebrating alongside backup dancer Kameron Saunders' mom, who was in town for the show.?

"The main reason I'll never forget this show is because it brings people together in so many ways," Reynolds said.
